Starstruck Performing Arts Center is forming a new competitive program called the Johnson County Drill Team. This team will take class and learn choreography so they can compete in two of the local drill team competitions.

The team will be made up of sixth, seven, and eighth graders (high school students may also join as well), that are interested in making their high school drill team or just having a fun dance experience. Here is what you can expect:

1. You will receive training that is focused on drill team technique and skills that are necessary to be on a high schooldrill team.

2. You will be competing with other area jr high drill teams at local competitions.

3. Entry fees and costume costs will be minimal.

4. You will learn to dance with students your own age and have a fun time!! The class is based on fun and learning.

5. Each participant will take one jazz and one leaps and turns class and have an hour long choreography class.

So grab your friends and sign up for a fun class that will give you the skills you need to make your school’s drill team. While we cannot guarantee you will make the team, the instructors will certainly help each student to work towards this goal!! Classes begin on September 2nd, so register now to save your spot!!
